I've noticed that my LPR acts up when I exercise.  I'm only power walking and stretching right now, trying to go low impact and not bend much.  Anyway, I'm already on a PPI twice a day and Zantac before bed so I really don't want to take another Zantac before exercise.  I know some people on this site have written about breaking apart Slippery Elm capsules and drinking them to coat.  I was thinking of trying this a little bit before my walk.  But, does anyone know if this particular natural remedy interferes with PPI or Zantac absorbtion? I know I can always check with my Dr. but I figured someone on this site would already know the answer! :o)

Also, could I just take the pills instead of breaking them open and mixing them with water?  If not, ok, but how much water would I use? How many pills? Should the water be warm?

Ahh, sorry, so many questions! :o)

You could try sucking on DGL tablet before exercise. That also has some coating action. I have read people have had some positive results with it. However I haven't tried it with LPR.
