i was told by my GI people to be careful about how much water, etc, i drink with a meal

their idea, and i believe it, is that small meals decrease reflux events because the stomach experiences less distention

and that liquids (broth, juice, water etc) figure into the total, pretty much like solid food if taken with the meal

but ive noticed something

iv gotten into the habit of not drinking anything during the meal

i try to remember to slug a couple glasses of water a few hours after eating, but sometimes i dont drink as much as i should

an then as the day wears on

im even more light-headed, brain fogged and or dizzy **feeling** than usual

has anybody else noticed dehydration is a bigger issue for those with gerd?

I don't think I dehydrate but I certainly don't drink the amount of fluid I used to do. This means that whenever my bladder condition flares up, I can't deal with it by drinking lots of water, which is what it needs!
