Well I am at day 19! I am still doing a soft diet since the doctor wanted me to until I see him on the 12th. I had forgotten that until my sister reminded me what the doctor said to me the morning of discharge. Not really anything major going on just really sore at my ribs today and at times feel like someone is tightening a belt around them. Hopefully that is normal:) saw my pulmo dr on Friday and my pulmonary function test was worse. I could tell when I was doing it that it was going to be worse. We are hoping it was because of the surgery that it was worse. I have bronchiectasis and am being evaluated for a double lung transplant also. That is a whole other story- LOL

Hi Ryobe,

As an asthma sufferer I take spirometry tests often, and I can't even imagine taking one 19 days post op.  You're still sore and protective of your ribs, etc.  I can't think that that fact could do anything but decrease your results.

I hope that your peak flow increases and your next test is far better.

I'm sorry to hear you're having so many lung issues.  I feel for you.
