Hi everyone,

I am getting appointments w/ surgeons and can go see Dr. Laz Klein in Toronto (I have seen him before, at which point he did not think I was worth surgery), or Dr. Thomas Rice @ Cleveland Clinic. I need to figure out insurance I guess...I am a dual citizen so I could get healthcare in Canada for free, but Cleveland Clinic is supposed to be the best for GI problems in the country (or one of the best).

Anyone have experience at either of these places? Thanks. I am deciding where I should go, I think it'll be Cleve Clinic.

I'd go to Rice @ Cleveland since the other doctor said no already.

yeah and I come to see that they are #2 in the US for GI. Not sure if they are great for nissens, but they must not be bad to be able to maintain that ranking. Thx

Hi ARM,

"LadyJane", a member who doesn't post much anymore, went to the Cleveland Clinic and had Dr. Rice do her surgery.  She has nothing but extremely positive things to say about Dr. Rice and his staff.  She lives in Michigan, so traveled to Cleveland in search of the best possible outcome.

Good luck!
