I have been suffering with a sore throat for the last 4-5 months. i usually have more bad days than good, and i can never tell when its going to come or go. it sometimes gets really bad, and after eating i get some amount of relief (for atleast an hour) i used to think it was alcohol induced, but sometimes when i drink, my throat is fine the next day! occasionally instead of a regular sore throat i feel a lump in my throat. no other symptoms.

i have been to my ENT atleast 7-8 times, he ruled out any kind of infections, ulcers or cancer. he put a camera down my throat to look at my voice box, and said everything looks normal, no redness at all. i had allergy and prick tests done, all normal. he finally sent me to a gastroenterologist, thinking it could be acid reflux. the doctor immediately did an endoscopy, and diagnosed me with - Antral Gastritis with erosions.(H. Pylori negative) He also said i have a LAX GE junction. He said there was redness in the antrum, but my esophagus looked normal and there was no evidence of reflux. He has put my on cintodac (pantoprazole) for six weeks. i have taken it for three weeks, and havent found much improvement. infact i feel like after starting the medicine, i have been experiencing chest and underarm pain, and general tiredness.

I honestly just want a solution to this now. Im tired of bearing with a sore throat almost everyday. It affecting my work as well. Im still not even sure if its GERD. Ive tried to stay on bland food for the last 3 weeks, but its really hard to stay away from alcohol at social events! being a die-hard foodie, I cannot live like this!
