I have had GERD for 4 years and there is little doubt that at one level or another I have reflux. However, I have noticed that now and then I'll get an extremely similar feeling on the right side of my chest, usually at time when I am also having my regular reflux pain on the left. I've never brought it up b/c I think a dr. will say "well maybe your problem isn't reflux", but it very very rarely happens. I have gone months without it but have noticed in the past few days that I do get it in my right side a bit....I think it is probably radiated pain or my right side getting in on the action because my body feels like it should or something.

Anyone else noticed this?

My heartburn is usually in the middle of my chest and radiates to both right and left side of chest as well as my back.  Rolaids work well for me and if I did not know better I would think I was having symptoms of a heart attack. As the Rolaids works I know it is the heartburn and not my heart.

Hey ARM,
I do get the right-sided pain, but I can't say that it is the exact same feeling. Mine just kind of feels like a painful bloating, whereas my GERD pain is usually more intense. I'm gonna go back to the doctor pretty soon after my gastroscopy this coming Monday and ask about it.
Be well,
