Hi everyone,
I got the gaviscon advanced from a pharmacy in the UK and I think it is helping. I got the Aniseed flavor (tastes like licorice) and it does seem to be keeping things down...I have not been hiccuping nearly as much and I have fewer episodes of the refluxing. This morning, I felt a little less throat mucus and my throat is feeling a little more comfortable. I was able to swallow a little better today (I was still really careful) and for the first time in 3 weeks, ate a few times !!

The early mornings are still tough, because it only lasts me about 3 hours-- so as soon as I wake up.... its back with a vengeance. I might try to set my alarm to wake up to take a dose to see if it helps with the morning problem.

I am pleased with the gaviscon and it might be worth checking out. I got mine online.

I've been using for the past few days. I haven't notice too much improvement :( I have gastritis too and I'm not sure if it's aggravating it or not....(more stomach pains?) But I'll continue it for a few more days and see how it goes. I heard it suppose to help with LPR which I have I believe.....we'll see.

That's a bummer! So far I'm pleased--it's by no means perfect, but I do think there is some positive difference
