Hi everyone, Christmas is approaching and so are parties and family get-togethers. What I miss is a nice drinky (or 2) so I have decided to make myself a guinea pig and try some alcoholic drinks that I think I may get away with. I am trying Pina colada tonight, I'm not going to go mad but I will have a few to see how it goes.,.... I'll let you know.

Cheers

I would ...but red wine gives me cystitis confused If it helps, I've had two modest pina coladas and no reflux!! I think I'm in love............but I'll post tomorrow morning to let everyone know the outcome.

Well it's the night after the night before, and to be honest......I'm doing pretty good. Firstly, I only intended on having 2 or 3 drinks but ended up drinking half the bottle...lol..very naughty!!! I didn't have any problems last night at all, and when I woke up I had a bit of a sore chest for a few hours. Considering the amount I drank, I think I got off lightly. I will be having a few drinks over Christmas but not like I did last night. I got in to the Christmas spirit a little too much!!

If any of you want to try alcoholic drinks, I suggest Bacardi pina colada, and Baileys. I can drink 2 or 3 with no repercussions, If I go over that, then I get a little sore but nothing bad.

Have a lovely Christmas

Well done completing your experiment ;-)

Yes, cystitis not fun. I got that first, nearly 2 years ago now, and I gave up tea and coffee to help with the pain. Ironically, that's when my acid reflux started. Go figure..........

I think the reflux and cystitis are the worst of my ailments. The pain from both are so intense(although I seem to be controlling the reflux now.) My mum used to get cystitis so bad she would bleed!!!... Odd that when you gave up tea and coffee you got the reflux???? You probably know this, but if you get cystitis bad take some baking soda and mineral water every 4 hours or so it helps clear it up, it can help the reflux too.

Hope you have a reflux and cystitis free Christmas.
