I've always considered my only symptom heartburn, but for a while I have also had air in my stomach that seems to need to get out. Usually what happens is I'll draw a large breathe in, and as I do or at its peak, my stomach and esophagus will rumble and I might burp. Sometimes I can draw in deep breathe after deep breathe and my esophagus will make a noise/reaccomodate itself each time for even 4-5 continuous breathes before it is completely gone. It only works when I take a deep breathe in.

I have no idea how to name this symptom. Anyone else have it? Is it what bloating is?

I don't think it's what people mean by bloating, which usually refers to the lower abdomen - it's associated with poor digestion or bacterial overgrowth in the intestines.

I'm not sure what you are experiencing - perhaps you just have trapped gas in the stomach or the deep breathing is drawing air into the lower oesophagus ??

For the most part, burping is caused by air that you swallow. Aside from teenage boys engaging in belching contests, most of us don't swallow air on purpose.
