Here's a tough one.....

I had the nissen procedure several years ago...no problems since.
Recently I started to have a bad taste in my mouth along with some minor burning in throat and nose. Thinking it might be acid, I started Prilosec 2 weeks ago. Last week I had an endoscopy that showed a clean esophagus and the wrap intact. Previously I had a CT scan to check sinuses. The problem persists...Any thoughts?????

Welcome to the forum, but sorry to hear of your difficulties!

Some reflux is normal, and, since you've had the integrity of your wrap confirmed, I would guess that your reflux episodes haven't changed much. What might have changed, however, is a relaxation of your upper esophageal/pharangeal muscles allowing the reflux entry into your throat. This is known as LPR, or also respiratory reflux.

There are many members on this board with LPR, which often defies a clear diagnosis and treatment. You may experiment to try to find a PPI that works better for you. Another possibility is to incorporate some reflux management into your routine, that, previously, as a result of the wrap, you haven't had to be concerned with. Things like diet, etc.

I have LPR symptoms, which haven't improved much since my TIF procedure in August '11.
