If a PH test is being conducted while someone is on PPI medications wouldnt the PH test come back normal if the meds were working? Now I have been on Dexilant now for about two weeks now and still have symptoms however my symptoms are not burning but just regurgiataion. If everything turns out normal I wanted to go ahead and see if I can get a nissen done.

george-

I had all my PH studies done while off of PPIs, but they were going to do one while I was one PPIs if I decided to not have surgery and just double the dose of PPIs. I went the surgical route. Their logic was to see if the PPIs were helping at all.

Take care,
Bill

@ Bill yeah its weird I dont feel as much burning. The doctor now wants to have a gastro dumping test to see if I have any problems there. I know they are helping but I just want off the meds I feel like they are affecting me. I notice that I have gradually been feeling lethargic, memory problems, concentration problems, and even depression.
