Well, I'm a cardiac patient, along with being diabetic and a bunch of other things tossed in...so I really take my diet seriously and don't follow any fad diets, but I believe in fruits and veggies, along with taking note of what seems to bring on especially bad nighttime attacks of GERD, and then refraining from it. I don't eat a lot of meat, but do eat fish and chicken-don't get me wrong, I do enjoy cheating every now and again but I really try and keep my diet healthy!
I've tried most all of the med.'s and have found a combo of Ranitidine and Aciphex for now are being quite helpful as well.
Prevacid helped me for several months, but as I'm told that most of these med.'s were made to be taken for a short while, not a lifetime... and so, I've moved on to new ones.
Hope this helps a bit? I do drink lots of water and basically not much other types of liquid, except an occasional diet white soda.
