Has anyone lost weight with their new GERD diet? "Non-srugery GERD ppl"

I am wondering, have any of my fellow GERD sufferers lost weight by changing their diet? This is for those who HAVE NOT had surgery, because is common for you to lose weight if you had NF.
 
I often see ppl gaining weight on PPis
 
I am just comparing to those I can relate the most.
 
I changed my diet significantly in July 2011
I use to weigh 144 pounds 5"8 heigt, Male.
 
My current weight 125pds
Now I took out gluten, soy and dairy from my diet. I didnt subsistutie them for anything until a couple of weeks down the road. By then I was about 138pds. I also do not eat out at all but cook most of my meals with light things everyday.
 
Then I started incorporating and adapting to a new diet but went down to 125. My symptoms are under control compared to what they were in Jul 2011. Have any of you lost this amnt of weight or something close? And have your GERD symptoms improved.
 
Does the body stop losing at some point or does it just continue?
I actually want to gain weight, I tried protein shakes but didnt workout. I can't eat greasy cause that causes GERD.
 
I will say I am doing some blood work, checking for anemia, blood count to see if theres any other reason for this much weight loss. I will find out about that next week.

I have lost about 12 pounds. Most of that was when my GERD was at its worst, nearly a year ago. Anything I ate made my stomach hurt, so I didn't eat much. I wasn't over-weight, but I didn't need those pounds.

Now I eat low-fat, so that is some calories lost. I also used to munch some junk food many evenings, but now I eat nothing after 6:00 p.m.

My weight is pretty stable now. I usually eat oatmeal with skim milk and a banana for breakfast, 2 cups of thick stew or soup for lunch with baby carrots, some low-fat Triscuit crackers in the afternoon, yogurt with a few almonds late afternoon, and a small dinner that always includes vegetables, a little meat, potatoes or whole grain bread. I also like beans and rice, and eat them often.   I sometimes have a glass of skim milk with graham crackers if I didn't eat much dinner.  I follow the Koufman diet. There is a thread here if you want more info.

I did read an article in the past year, published in the NY Times Magazine, about people who choose to eat very low calorie diets as a lifestyle. They lost weight for awhile, but then stabilized.

I went vegan and have lost 55lbs so far (23kg). I take Nexium 40mg/day.

I've lost 35 pounds since October, but didn't mind as I was overweight. It wasn't hard to do since I wasn't feeling well and all eating triggered reflux. I actually have to track my calories to make sure I eat enough each day. Cut out all sugars, breads, mainly eat vegetables, lean meats and some fruit if I can tolerate it. The weight has stabilized for the moment, but I wouldn't be surprised if I lose more. I'm hoping the weight loss will prove beneficial, although it hasn't appeared to help yet. I take Aciphex 20mg once a day, and currently trying carafate due to an ulcer and esophagitis.
