If the link does not work let me know.

I found this old medical article with pics of the Nissen fundoplication & the degrees of a hiatal hernia. For those who like to see visuals. They give the view of the endoscopy and show diagrams of the stomach wrap. It is a super old study, 90's. It is a little graphic so beware. They show the stomach and the spchinter.

I am now 5 weeks post surgery, had a hybrid surgery, Laproscopic repair of hiatal hernia and TIF repair for reflux. Have been completely off PPI meds for 3 weeks, still get a little burning sensation from time to time and minor burping, doctor said to use GAS-X which works, but not using very often. Started a regular diet last week- doctor said just to take small bites and chew very well. So far has not been a problem. I am gradually adding in different foods. tongue This forum has helped me to feel confident that what few symptoms I still have will resove with the healing process. I have been able to sleep lying flat and my breathing is so much better, not having any difficulty getting a full breath.
