Once a few people shared the phenomenon of feeling heartburn more when breathing in deeply (for me, at night), which gives the feeling of breathing in while sucking on a mint or while outside in very cold air.

So similarly, I have noticed today (after a night of heartburn), that I can feel heartburn when coughing or breathing out very fast. It is only for the brief milliseconds that I cough or breathe out, nothing long-term. Has anyone else noticed this?

I think I did feel worse during a cough and cold recently - I guess the heaving of the diaphragm affects the stomach?

after coughing repeatedly (ie. cough attacks :P ) caused by a common cold I've felt a bit of reflux, yes.

Coughing is a bit of a 'violent' act, with very sudden and hard movements in your torax. So I guess things get moved down there and the acid just comes up briefly.

I agree.

But what I found odd what that I only get the heartburn feeling right when I cough, for milliseconds. If it were to bring up reflux, I would think that the reflux pain would stay for at least a few more seconds after the cough. It almost feels muscular when I cough, before the second the cough ends the pain is gone...as if it were my lung in pain or something.
