Day 23 post op.

I'm still on a soft foods/liquid diet.

Surgery pains/incisions have healed well.

No gas bloat problems.

Main trouble is I believe I still feel the burning sensation in my throat and mouth that I had similar to pre op. It's not the same's a different feeling. I had stomach discomforts as well which reduced a lot....that I'm grateful for. But I hope this throat/mouth feeling goes away. It started off as a lump in throat about a year ago.....

Need some reassurance that time will heal this......thanks guys.

Give it time, you've gone through a lot and you've got to heal inside.

Be patient, it seems like this is a common concern and it usually goes away from what I've read.

Just wondering, why are you still on liquids? I was told I could start mushy, soft food after 2 weeks if it goes down easily.

I'm eating mash potatoes, pudding, and cream soups also. I feel like I can eat more things but my doctor said to stick with the diet. I just hope the burning subsides...
