Saw gi dr. today. he said theres nothing more to do. he prescribed lidocaine for my sore throat. thats it. he said thats all he can do. that i have to watch what i eat and that is it. ill keep u posted thanks everyone for your advice and help. he said even if my reflux was 100 times a day he still would not recommend surgery. he explained it as ill never heal and will just have to live with the symptoms. sad thing is i think hes right.

Hi Joe,
Honestly, I don't get the "100 days of reflux" still not indicating a redo.  Really?  I think if you had a DeMeester score of 100 you'd find someone who would be willing to give a redo a try.  Can you explain that comment to me?

I know that atypical symptoms aren't as surely treated surgically as typical GERD, I still think that it can work. Statistics have the success rate at around 70% which isn't a terrible number.  It has definitely helped me.

As always, sorry you're struggling through this.
Very best wishes,
Denise
