Chewing citrus and strawberry gum right now. Not so sure about
the citrus part, but it was the only thing CVS had that wasn't mint or bubblegum flavored (which I hate). It seems to be helping, maybe because there is more saliva to coat my throat. Does the lump ever go away?!?!? I can handle the burping, but this is driving me crazy! I'm afraid the feeling will come back as soon as I stop chewing the gum.
I've also found non-mint hard candy (particulary Werther's Original) to be helpful, though it does increase the burping, perhaps because of air swallowing.
Off to the ENT after work today. Going to force him to look down my throat.
