Hi.

I am 10 months post op and doing well almost back to normal but have had a setback.

Last week I had an episode of dry retching brought on by an intense migraine and since then have had a sharp pain in the centre of the stomach under my breastbone. I comes & goes in waves, is worse when I eat or drink & I feel nausea with it.

I spoke to my GP who said it sounded like a Mallory-Weiss tear from the pressure of the stomach while dry retching which has caused a small tear in the mucosa layer on the inside of the esophogus. She has put me back on PPI's and a soft bland diet for 2 or 3 weeks until it heals.

Anyone else heard of this or had it happen to them.

Hope everyone is doing well....

Lynda
