Hi Guys

I still have a month or so before my next ENT appointment and wondering if perhaps my throat issues (Globus when I swallow, hoarseness/clearing)is perhaps due to Post Nasal Drip?  I don't often feel mucuous dripping down my throat, but sometimes I can feel some built up at my throat which causes me to clear. I don't feel any sinus congestion or pain on a regular basis and when the ENT did my scope, he went through my nose which I would have assumed would have shown any issues from that end.

The reason I ask is that I'm 5 weeks into PPI's and haven't noticed a drastic change in symptoms and I don't feel any heartburn pain or nausea etc.  I also haven not noticed any real change and I've cut out many common triggers (citrus, tomato, spice,e tc) from diet changes.

Thanks

When I saw the ENT, he gave me a brochure on pnd, so I guess he thought it was a possibility for me. We talked about other things. It seems harder to fix throat symptoms with meds and other strategies. You might want to look at the Koufman diet, I started a thread that is a page or two back. I believe this diet has significantly reduced my symptoms. It was developed for Lpr.

My throat specialist says don't clear your throat because it's non-effective on the gunk in throat feeling. She said to bend your chin to your chest and do a big forced swallow.
Clearing the throat just vibrates the vocal cords and causes them to become irritated.
