I was on a number of tinctures for my lyme disease and a parasite type cleanse by a natureopathic doctor. I was having awful acid reflux with the lump in the throat and just miserable now for over two months straight.

My first full day off the drops and stuff was last Thursday. For a couple of days I felt really pretty good (not completely better, but better), but then yesterday, for some reason, my acid reflux/lump in the throat got bad again in the afternoon. This really brought my spirits down and now I'm feeling quite depressed this morning that I will never get over this.

How long can I expect it to take for the acid reflux to completely go away IF the tinctures were the what was causing the problem?

I ask because I am also taking 30 Mg of Cymbalta however, I've been taking that for about a year and prior to February or so, I wasn't having any problems. That would be the next to go and I'm a little afraid of going off that because if I miss even one day of that, I start getting dizzy. Is it possible that now all the sudden this Cymbalta could be the culprit?

Your thoughts would be greatly greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi Carrie,
As we don't know exactly what tinctures you have been taking I do not feel we are qualified to answer your questions.  Also have you ever seen a GI Physician to assess you for GERDand were end tests done ?  If not, I would start with seeing a GI physician to get an official dx.
Lymes Disease is a very complicated disorder and I am sorry you are having a hard time.  I can only imagine what you are going through.
I already posted to your concerns re the Cymbalta in the A & P Forum.
