Here I am again!
I am so glad to have a support group like all of you!!!
Thanks for all of your help. This group has been wonderful about helping all of us new comers with all the issues we are going through.
I know that my stomach feels very sour at times. Last night my husband said my breath was REAL bad! That made me feel terrible. Have any of you had this problem before? What is causing this?
I never had bad breath before this surgery 6 weeks ago.
One other problem I have that I have never found an answer for.  I never get hungry and get very bloated. When I had the endoscopy done the gastroenteroligist said I had moderate Gastritis. I had the reflux so bad I finally had the NFS. That has helped with the reflux. I am usually alright in the morning but by night time I get so bloated and feel miserable to try to eat anything. I keep losing weight. I try to force myself to eat a little something but absolutely miserable afterward. Have any of you had this where you lose your appetite and never get hungry. I was never like this before I got GERD.(5 yrs ago) I was always hungry and wanted to eat. What in the world could be causing this and wonder what I could do to feel normal again. Would love to hear from someone that might have the same thing going on.
Thanks so much for your support,
Ida Mae

Stomach contents refluxing up, which contain acid and bacteria, would be the causes of this for gerd sufferers.

If its chronic/constant reflux, even things like mouthwash would not work for long. Hopefully you only get this on occasions thouhg

Hi halo2000, i can sympathsise with you on the loss of appetite and bloating especially at night,im in the same boat. This surgery is just gonna take a bit of time to settle down,we ve lost about a third of our stomachs with the wrap and it has to ajust to that. With regards to the bad breath i had a bad breath for six weeks and my wife wouldnt come near me lol i was told by a nurse it was the anesthic that was still in my lungs and can linger on for weeks. Its gone now ,just have a white coating on my tongue now that i cant shift, hopefully your breath problem will clear soon as mine did. Good LucK! Barry
