I have been dealing with Reflux for I don't know...4 months or so now.  It has gotten better in that I don't have the lump in the throat anymore and most days, it's just an uncomfortable feeling in my stomach and chest.  I don't describe it as a burning feeling...
Anyway, I had an endoscopy and a colonscopy both done last Thursday.  I am feeling so bloated and uncomfortable since the procedure that I feel miserable!!!  I would think that after 7 days, this feeling should have gone away.....
By the way, I haven't actually talked to my doctor yet but he wrote on the report that my esphogus and colon looked very good and that I had some very mild gastritis. All biospies came back normal.  I don't know anything else yet and see him in a couple of weeks.  Then, I will ask if I had a hiatal hernia, etc.
Anyway, anyone with experience with bloating this far out from the procedure....?
Thanks all!

Trapped gas after an egd can be common or even discomfort after taking laxatives for your colonoscopy. Personally I've had 3 egds and never had the gas problem but my dad did. He actually was in so much pain and couldn't breathe I drove him to the er the same day after his procedure. They kept him overnight for 2 days to rule everything out but it was just gas from the procedure.

I hope you get answers soon.
I've also have had 3 egds, colonoscopy, upper gi lower bowel follow through, emptying test, hida scan, esophogram etc.

I've never shown reflux or spasms, not even irritation
Just mild gasritis, and I have celiac.

I hope you find some answers ! Hopefully the bloating will go down soon.

It would not hurt to give your GI Doctor's office a call especially as today is Friday and you may not be able to get ahold of anyone over the week-end re your concern.
