Well folks, haven't had to drop in here for a long time thank goodness. However it just couldn't last forever
After healing from Gallbladder removal (took about
six months) my GERD seemed to have gone. I have still had the occasional bout of heart burn every couple of weeks. The last week something isn't right. More heart burn than normal but have started having something like a spasm right in the middle of my chest just above the sternum. I then have a pulling/numbness sort of feeling that goes around the bottom of the left rib and towards the spleen. Made worse when I am driving, the rest of the day I seem okay besides more belching and the heart burn.
Could this be the hiatal hernia (very small supposedly with last scope in August), new gall stones, gastritis or esophagitis or am I just plain old dealing with some GERD again? Keep convincing myself I am not dying of a heart attack lol. This is only happening in the evening after driving home and a heavier meal than normal of course. So in the morning I feel okay and guess what? I don't call the Doctor! Got a zantac out of my old stash tonight, hopefully that will fix what ails me and I might feel more relieved that it is gastro and not cardio!
