Hi im curious, how do we determine whether we have high stomach acid or Low stomach acid? By what kind of doctors? Can they even tell?
For example, how do we determine whether we have what type of gastric reflux? By doing endoscopy or by ENT scope down the throat? Usually G.I doc will tell you 'Oh you have GERD, but is it GERD belonging to High stomach acid or low stomach acid? or "Or you have LPR but is it belong to high or low stomach acid?"
Pls enlighten me :) thanks :D

This is a tricky question and one I am wondering about myself.  I seem to have sx of low stomach acid but I am on a PPI so is it the PPI causing the low stomach acid ?  Sorry to answer a question with a question.
