I don't know anything about gastric emptying.  I know it's the process by which food exits the stomach into the duodenum, but I don't know if it's possible to suddenly have issues with that 7 months after Nissen Fundoplication.
1.  Could gastric emptying issues cause what feels like reflux 7 months after nissen?
2.  Can gastric emptying issues suddenly develop 7 months after surgery?  I did not have a gastric emptying test/scan or anything like that....

Try not to overthink your problem and find something to take your mind off your worries.  We cannot dx what is going on with you and overthinking your problems is only stressing you.  You will see your surgeon on Monday so wait to see what he suggests you need as far as testing and any treatment.
It is the week-end, let yourself enjoy life a bit - watch a movie, see some friends, read a book, take a walk, listen to music and sing off key.
