HI Everyone:

For those of you going gluten free or to help with the GERD diet (anything with gluten is hard to digest) or have food allergies, a family member suggested this website:

It is gluten free, dairy free, soy free, low carb and is loaded with protein. I have not tried this yet so I have no idea how it tastes but I am interested in trying it. I am getting pretty sick of chicken, turkey, lean beef, veggies, fruits and brown rice pasta. As I have come to the conclusion that I am probably going to have to be on the GERD diet long term, I am looking for alternative foods that are ok to eat but remind me of some of my favorites. One of the things I really miss is bread. I just thought I would share this as we are in the same boat and face the struggles of this diet. I am determined to look forward to eating again.

Thanks for sharing.  The more we share the more we can help each other.

Thanks a lot, Erica. I really like eating toast in the morning, but all of the bread I use makes my reflux worse. Also, I'm glad that bread is dairy free. I've been trying to go on a no-dairy diet.
The advice I provide and present to you is solely based on research and doctor diagnosis. I am personally not a doctor. Going to a doctor is far better than listening to what I have to say.

I have experienced a lot over the course of years, and I am glad to give you some pointers to help you overcome your struggles.

I ordered some of the zero carb bread so I'll report back when I get it.

Hi there,

I haven't posted in a while because I have no major improvements to report.

I did do a gluten free diet for a year though.

-Rudi's
-Udi's (I thought this was the best one)

Are the best gluten, soy, and dairy free breads they taste like wheat bread. The downsize, at least for me was that you had to freeze it. Every time I wanted a sandwich I toasted the bread.

Another bad thing is the slice of bread is small. Price? One loaf was about 4-6 dollars depending if it was on sale. However, both have coupons online for a dollar off. I bought it at Sprouts Farmers Market, Whole Foods, Fresh and Easy and Winco's.

Sprouts often had it on sale more often.

It is expensive that's annoying. I'm thinking of it as more of a treat because of the price.

Yeah, Erica, you're right. $7.00 for a loaf of bread is a little hefty. It does look pretty good, though.

I ordered it anyways, I will keep it in the freezer and when I get a craving that will be a treat. It definetly is not economical for every day, but maybe once a week. I already spend a ton of money on organic food and supplients so I have to be sensible here.
