Patients can experience difficulty swallowing, a complication called dysphagia, after Nissen fundoplication surgery. Difficulty swallowing typically occurs due to postsurgical swelling within the stomach or esophagus and can interfere with the ability to eat or drink. Swallowing difficulties generally resolve as you begin to heal after surgery.
As you have had the one dilation I would give a second one a chance before I would start anticipating that you have a motility problem. When was your surgery ? I do not remember the date.
