I was wondering if anyone could tell me about their Gerd symptoms. I sometimes get this gripping feeling in my stomach and the pain goes to my chest and I get dizzy. I also have pain in my neck and tightness and my head feels full and weird. Could that have anything to do w Gerd. Dr also says I have TMJ. My doctor said I have GERD. Had endoscopy and barium tests done, however she never followed up with me on what to do. Put me on prilosec but it gave me terrrible headaches and I felt anxiety increased. Please advise me if you can.

I was diagnosed with gerd.I get headaches all the time and cheese kills my stomach. Fatty foods sit in my stomach too long. I get a bitter taste on my tongue and tongue feels numb sometimes. U should avoid chocolate citrus food caffeine and fatty foods. I do sweat when I eat chimeras foods. U should change it diet and if it continues u should c a doc. Oh yeah and heartburn is another symptom of gerd

Thank you for your response, I not sure what are gerd problems or anxiety problems with me. A change of diet sounds like a good idea to see if it makes me feel any better.

Other symptoms I get are:-

Sickness into mouth especially in morning
Sickness into mouth when bending over
Heartburn after food
Generally feeling poor
Sore throat in morning
Stomach ache and sometimes gastritis
Funny feeling in throat like it is tightened up
Lots of burping
Burping with sickness
Food occasionally sticks in throat and will neither go up or down

But I have to admit I normally do not try let it affect what i do and I can be accused of eating wrong foods as I especially like spicy food. One piece of advice is not to eat spicy food too late at night as that is probably the worst thing to do for me as I have spent many nights awake and being sick.

I am a 32 year old male. I have been having chest pains for 6 months now. These chest pains are intermittent coupled with upper back pains. Also, I have been having these bouts of headaches and light headedness. I have been to a GI and performed an endoscopy and diagnosed me with insignificant hiatial hernia, mild inflammation of the esophagus and mild gastritis. I am on Nexium (40 mg twice a day). But no avail!!! I am still having these chest pains and headache bouts. Every mornig I wake up and have lot of mucous in my nose. I am beginning to get anxious. I think I have something else but the doctor thinks otherwise. My heart, urine and bloodwork checked out fine. I am at loss here and have no idea what going on. My throat too hurts sometimes. This is causing me too much stress and strain in life. Please help!!!!

Thank you for the responses. I feel the same way like everyday something new is happening. I use to get chest pains daily with the pain going to my shoulder blade in the back. Lately its been extreme neck tightness and headaches. Why cant I just be normal, I watch other people live their lives and feel so sad that I cant even have one normal day. Meds dont seem to agree with me for Gerd or anxiety.
