I have not posted in a while because I have nothing to contribute :(
I actually tried the gluten free diet for a year per my Naturopathic doctor. I really learned so much about food. I cut out everything that included gluten. I cut out all processed food, sugar and fruits.
My diet once consisted of brown rice, rice cakes, almond butter, oven roasted chicken, beans, salads, avocados, brown rice ceral, sugarless almond milk, gluten free bread, goat cheese, unprocessed ham/turkey. Unprocessed hot dogs, tky burgers and unprocessed mayonaise.
The results? Not much, to tell you the truth. I lost a lot of weight, although I did not need to.
I am currently trying to gain weight by eating some of the foods I avoided for a while like cheeses, some breads, and other foods.
I am not taking any PPI at all. I am taking DGL, Seacure, Mastic Gum, Vitamin C and eat blueberries everyday. I also take black raspberry capsules.
This shows that we are all different. I don't feel worse or better. However, gaining weight has been tough.
There are foods I still avoid any Italian food, greasy food, processed food (I try), fruits, minimize sugar, although I have been eating more of it the last month. I am also eating out a little more than I use to.
My plan is to get a new job and good insurance once I get it. Then treat it by getting all tests done. For now I am trying to gain weight to try to tackle the problem a different way. I want to gain muscle and weight to use some natural products that require a strict diet for a period of 4-6 weeks to help me.
I am happy for you though. I need to get into a regimen again....
