Hello, everyone.  I'm at 9 and a half months post Nissen Fundoplication.  I (knock on wood, knock on wood, knock on wood) am feeling much better inside, even after eating a greater variety of foods.  I avoid coffee but that is about it.  I also don't really eat much ice cream anymore.

However I am eating salads, meats, and raisin bran (not at the same time) with no problems.

One thing I do notice is that I am getting hungrier and hungrier even after eating just an hour ago.

I am still getting tired often, too, but that could be because I am not drinking any coffee.

Dave-

Great to hear. I followed the same pattern with hunger coming back around the 9 month time frame. Most likely due to our bodies being mostly healed I suspect.

I haven't had any issues with drinking ice tea since the 2 month mark. Have you tried coffee yet? If your wrap is working you probably could try it and see how it goes. Or make it a bit weaker to start with. I never have been much of a coffee drinker, but if I was I would probably be drinking it now.

Tale care,
Bill

This gives me some hope! I am 6-months post-nissen and I still don't have a good appetite. I could go all day without eating. The only thing that gets me is the lack of energy. As long as I chew well I don't have any swallowing/sticking issues, but I have to be cautious of portion size or I get an over-full feeling.

I am wondering, did you have any favorite foods that got you more comfortable with eating as you healed? I fee like possibly I'm just gun-shy after having problems for so long, and though soup and hot tea feel nice going down, they don't do much for the energy problem. Any suggestions would be great!

Zaxby's! :))

No, I'm not kidding. At 4 months I enjoyed a big zax snack meal. Felt stuffed later. But boy! It was good!
