I would like to hear from those of us who've had Nissen about the pros and cons of going with the partial (toupet) or the full (360) wrap.

My surgeon thinks that since I don't have hiatal hernia and don't have severe symptoms - and am looking into surgery only because of my PPI intolerance, I would do well with the toupet (partial) wrap and don't need a full wrap.

Some recent studies seem to suggest that the partial would do as good a job (with fewer possibilities of bloating or dysphagia) - and the full should be done only in severe cases.

Still thinking if I can give either Nissen or Toupet a shot ... am thinking of April 2013 ...

... the more I read about Toupet and Nissen, the more I get confused which path is the best for me :(

I had a 270 degree wrap. It's ideal for me because I have a slight motility problem. (third movement in my esophagus)
