Diagnosis: Gastritis, Esophagitis, GERD & Hiatal Hernia

Just had endoscope yesterday and the preliminary diagnosis, from what he could see visually was Gastritis, Esophagitis, GERD & Hiatal Hernia...he did a ton of biopsies...I also have rheumatoid arthritis and I am on lot of meds...I am not on NSAID's but was on low dose daily aspirin. I also have been on steroids for awhile for my RA but I am weaning off them...so I guess we will see what the biopsies say. Meanwhile I am on 40mg Prilosec and I wait....

Add colitis and that is my diagnosis. They did a ton of biopsies on me, too. At least I am not dying, even though a few times it felt like it. That is a relief.
My boyfriend has minor RA, he was on prednesone for a while, he needs to go back to the rheumatologist, but I am too tired to bug him, lol.
I understand about the waiting, you are not alone.

Welcome to HealingWell.  I know the waiting is hard but I am glad to read that you have had your scope and have a preliminary diagnosis.  I do hope your biopsies are clear and that your Dr. will have a plan of care for you soon. 
If you just started the Prilosec please know that you may not notice an instant relief of your sx as it usually takes 3-4 days for most people to notice the effect of this med.  It may even take up to 7 days so don't give up.  I have been on this med for quite a few years now and most of the time it works very well for me.  I hope you have the same experience.
