I have recently been diagnosed with esophageal spasms (aka nutcracker spasms) brought on by GERD. I've been suffering with GERD for many years but the esophageal spasms is now added to this problem. Have to be sooo careful what I eat. Small meals throughout the day, nothing fatty, fried, or spicey. No caffeine, chocolate, tomato based foods, nothing acidic, etc. Life has certainly changed around for me. If I'm not careful what and how I eat, I not only end up with GERD but nausea as well.
Anyone else have these same problems? Makes travel and dining out a real issue. Your input greatly appreciated.
