i need a good probiotic recommendation

ive trie pb8 and jarrows

my dr wants me to get off my ppi to see if some or all of my symptoms subside since we cant really figure out my problem

so i know acid rebound is going to be hell to deal plus we think i have ibs and every morning i have loose stools

so i need something to really help m regulate my body

i need something that will cause little problems and more solutions and that will survive stomach acid

ive heard that the fridged probioitcs are usually the best even though its annoying that they have to be stored that way

i looked into vsl 3 but im not sure if that will survive the amount of stomach acid my stomach is going to start producing on rebound

so let me know what you think

I take papaya enzymes after each meal and they are helpful. I get them off of amazon.com

Hi iamloco724,

I have used calcium tablets to counteract loose stools caused by IBS. You need to get the 600mg Calcium plus Vitamin D3. Half a tablet after meals, three times a day. It should help reduce the acidity as well as firming things up.
You could also try a probiotic containing Saccharomyces Boullardii. [look on google!]

Either one or the other, or sometimes both together.

Looking at diet, reduce cereal fibre, gluten and foods containing excess fructose, as these all promote loose stools and faster transit times through the colon.

It is worth looking at the Low FODMAP diet.
All the best.

I use acidolphus pearls from Walmart. Just one a day does good for me.
