I have not been on for a while. Hope everyone is doing the best that they can. I have a question for anyone that has had a similar dx.
I just finished my upper GED and it showed a tear in my fundoplycation I had done about 4 years ago, a hernnia, and barretts. Is it best to repair the tear before it gets worse or wait until it gets worse  I have only had GERD sx about 4 times so far this year.

I always say a stitch in time saves nine.
take care of it now so it won't get worse later.

Hi amo,
Have you seen a surgeon about your options?  It seems to me that a skilled Nissen surgeon will know the best path to take.  Who did the testing?  Joy has a point, but it's definitely time to get a medical opinion on your path forward.
I don't know where your Nissen was done and by whom, but now that you're having a complication, if you can get to a large center where surgeons have more experience with problems, it could be to your benefit.
Very best of luck!

Hey, thank you both for your valuble option. My gastro did my upper GED. He pretty much thinks if your sx aren't bad just wait. I thought I would ask my MD & the surgeon that performed the Nissen funding 4 years ago. She did a good job, but I got sick last summer and had violent dry heeves.
