Hi This is my first post, I have the symptoms of LPR and have recently been prescribed omeprazole (20mg once a day) by my GP. My problems started more than a few months ago i would have a glass of red wine or filter coffee and feel an uncomfortable feeling in the back of throat the feeling prevented me from finishing these drinks.
i then had an episode where i had a sudden sore throat and almost lost my voice. I visited my GP and he said this a virus, although my voice came back after a couple of days i still felt tired and my sore dry throat would not go away (over a month later)
I have the usual symptoms lump in throat, uncomfortable feeing when swallowing, trying to bring mucus up all the time etc etc.
I am wondering whether stress has caused this i work as an internal auditor in an organisation that is constantly in turmoil where senior management are unsupportive and where we have until recently been without a manager for over 3 months and now have one that is trying to change everything. My assignments are particularly stressful and i do not feel valued even though i am good at my job, I do not sleep that well, i wake up several times in the early hours of every morning. I think about work in my sleep and cannot switch off.
i have read on other LPR posts that diet is also a contributing factor.
I would be grateful if anyone could give me any advice that could help me e.g. reducing my stress levels and diets that i should try. I have never smoked i never drink more than two glasses of red wine a week and i am not over weight.
thank you ,Paul
