Hi, As the subject indicates I'm new to the forum and to prostate cancer. I've been reading and talking with friends about the treatments available. I'm leaning toward radiation, but haven't been successful in finding
many people who have taken External Beam radiation as their treatment. Would love to hear from anyone
who has, and of course, how things worked out for them. I'm almost 67 years old, in good shape, PSA 4.58,
Gleason 7 (3+4) with 4 out of 10 cores showing 40% cancer, one showing "cancer invades perineurium".
Both my urologist and radiation oncologist have indicated I'm a good candidate for either DaVinci surgery or
external beam radiation. The frustrating thing has been that there seems to be no clear indicator which treatment would be better. I seem to be in the middle of the scale in all regards.
