I scoured the forums to find this info, but I thought it would be useful to maintain a separate thread to see where people are getting LINX done in the US.

It might also help people get a fair assessment of who the most skilled surgeons are.

The complete list of implant centers is at
www.toraxmedical.com/linx/implantingCenters.php

Please add any info you have. So far, I have:

Dr. Jeffrey Peters - Shooz

www.urmc.rochester.edu/people/25717891-jeffrey-h-peters
Dr. Peters is supposed to be very nice, according to Shooz.

Dr. John Lipham -

His department is headed by DeMeester (of the DeMeester score fame) and was the original pioneers of LINX. I would guess they did more LINXs than anybody else so far.

Dr. Daniel Smith, Mayo Clinic, JacksonVille - BEACH-GIRL got it done here

Dr. Rattner, Mass General, Boston - Linx99 got it here

Somehow I have it in my head that UC San Diego (Dr. Horgan) has done most of them so far, at least in the US. If I'm remembering right, someone on the phone there told me that.

Somebody with LPR issues would do well to see Lipham and DeMeester, they have published on detecting extraesophageal reflux like with the Restech dxpH sensor.

Thanks for the info. I got in touch with Dr. Lipham's office to see if I can get to speak to more of their patients.
