I have heard people with GERD complain of earaches; has anyone had tooth and jaw pain brought on by GERD? I have had persistent tooth and jaw pain for the past month; my dentist believes it is due to infections; of course the antibiotics prescribed make my GERD symptoms worse thereby increasing the pain and discomfort. Any ideas?

if the oral antibiotic causes that big of a problem, ask the dentist to give it to you in a one time shot. if he can't or won't, see your regular doctor. you must get the full dose (every pill in the bottle or a shot) for it to do any good. the dentist isn't going to deal with the teeth til the infection is gone.
