HI everyone, I'm just curious if there is anyone else out there that have had both the 24 hr restech and 48 bravo done?

I have had both of the tests done and it seems all my doctors are in disagreement with each other. The 24 hr restech was positive for reflux with over 100 reflux episodes at night, while the 48 bravo capsule was negative with an exposure rate around 3%.

Why would my 24 hr be positive while my 48 hr is negative? Shouldn't they both say the same thing? These studies were about 2 weeks apart btw.

Sixness. Hello!. Regarding the Restech,-- suggest you get a copy of your Restech test results and look at the graph on it. You may have had over 100 episodes but how many of them were acid and how many were non-acid. If I remember, for the Bravo, acid is considered with pH of 4 and below, but Restech lists ALL of the episodes and their pH . That could be the difference. Just a thought,--not a medical opinion. (Also, I don't think the Bravo measures vapors or aerosolized reflux but the Restech does.
