Has anyone tried this diet? It was just mentioned on another thread here.

I've read both books by Norm Robillard. I've scheduled a one hour consultation with him next week. After the consultation I'm going to review with my ENT who is currently treating my LPR.

Im very happy with the Koufman diet for alleviating my LPR symptoms, but I also have stomach issues which have recently taken a turn for the worse. I downloaded the book this morning. I have always had endless gas, so this diet explains that picture. It doesn't have much in common with the Koufman diet except for many vegetables.

I'm not impressed by what I've read in this book. He describes a research study of 18 people, all who reportedly had positive results in one week with this diet, but this study was apparently never published because he doesn't reference it. I will try the diet because it is close to free: the foods are common, I have to eat something anyway. Rockhopper, at least the Koufman diet has a published study supporting it.

I certainly don't agree with everything he writes but I figure what have I got to lose? I eat organic whole foods anyway (including wild fish and free range poultry, no red meat) so the only real change I'm making is eliminating the high fermentation foods. I pretty much follow the Koufman maintenance diet now.

I'm going to ask my doc if I can have the hydrogen breath test done as well.
