We're not doctors here, just GERD sufferers. Go see the doctor for tests to see what's happening.

As Joy says, you need someone to look down your throat. You may just have a swollen tonsil or viral thing going on. I don't think hernia gives one sided symptoms, nor does acid reflux, but the best place to start is with your PCP/GP for some basic tests and to rule out other simple causes.

New stuff: GERD, Recurrent cystitis/Overactive bladder
Lifelong stuff: Food allergies/intolerance, eczema, asthma

Welcome to Healing Well!  I "third" the suggestion that you see a doctor and try to get to the bottom of what's going on.  Be sure to stop back and let us know what you find out.  You could start with your PCP, and he/she will probably be able to begin the process of getting you all fixed up!
What you're experiencing sounds like it could be LPR/GERD, but to really figure out what's going on, you need medical attention.  Often you get referred to an ENT specialist with what you're experiencing.  See if your PCP knows of one who is well-versed in GERD/LPR issues.
By the way, here's a link to information about the difference between GERD and LPR that you might find interesting and helpful:
Good luck!
