saw surgeon today. I am going to stop Prilosec tomorrow. Going back to work 1/7. I am released to progress my diet, but to chew, chew. I forgot to ask him about activity restrictions. Do you think it is reasonable to vacuum now? lifting weight limit? You guys have been great. Thanks!

I was told not to lift anything heavier than 5 lbs for six weeks. Then to slowly increase the weight over the next month or two. I could lift normal after month 3, but I listened carefully to my body and stopped if I felt any discomfort around my wrapped site.
I recently helped my father move a treadmill out of the house. He took the brunt of it though. I didn't feel any discomfort. It's been 3 years though.

Hi

Six weeks with no lifting was the advice given to me too.

My surgeon reminded me that although I only had a couple of small incision holes, I had still undergone major surgery and it would take months to be back to normal.

Take it easy.

Cheers.

Les.
