3 weeks post op on Christmas Day. Small glass of wine? yes or no?

It's probably pushing it, but I wouldn't hesitate to try a few sips and see how it goes.  Maybe not a full glass...listen to your body.

Let us know how you do with the Wine. I will miss that the most after surgery, but hopefully it's not forever.

I got "accidentally" drunk three weeks post-op when a sip of wine turned into 4 glasses. I didn't have any issues....well, except that hangover the next morning. LOL

The trick is listening to your body.  Everyone is different, and it will depend upon how sensitive your stomach/wrap is.  Odds are you'll do fine, but take it easy.

I had a few glasses at 4 weeks and I was fine with it.

I wonder what would happen if you drank too much and needed to throw up? I have not drank like that in years, but I'm sure there are people out there that have after having the Nissen.

I ended up having a wine sip. Probably about an ounce. It was good. No problems. Enough to be sociable and participate and not enough to bother me at all!
