drowning sensation

jasmine, 15 with gerd. ive been feeling a drowning sensation when i lay down to go to sleep can it be the acid?

Could be...
Try raising the head of your bed 6-8 inches and see if you feel better.

Also discuss with your parents what's going on. You may need medication to help more.

i was told that buying a wedge pillow really helps with that. I knw know what you are going through...its hard stuff..but you will get through it and be a stronger person because of it. I know easier said than done:)

I advise against the wedge. It is hard to stay on and people have complained about bending at the waist and causing more reflux.
For me it caused a lot of back pain.

thanks ill try that tonight. i discuss with my mom all the time, im on omperzale( i think thats how you spell it) and it doesnt help at all.
