I had  nissan fundoplication surgery on 10/9 recovery has been good. I found out I have Kidney stones from going to E.R. about 3 weeks ago. Today I had severe pain and saw a Urologist, they wanted a urine sample and I had to strain bigtime/very hard  to get them a sample. Now have severe pain under my left breast.  Any suggestions if I messed up my fundoplication or possibly tore a muscle?  It hurts to take deep breath and to lay down.

Hi Chelle,

It's unlikely that you've damaged your wrap.  I think I had a similar experience when I lifted a heavy box without being in a good position.  I pulled something in the wrap area and was fearful that I'd damaged it.  After a few days things settled down and the irritation and pain went away.

From what GI docs have said, our wraps are pretty tough.  Hopefully it'll get feeling better soon.  Try icing the area and see if it helps.  It's likely a muscle from the sound of it.

Ouch!  Kidney stones sound horrible!  I hope that your urinary tract feels better very soon!
Happy New Year!
