I met with my surgeon this morning and after all of the testing and my final consult I have a date. 2 February. I am excited to finally have a date (I was hoping sooner) but my doc has done over 900 of these and is booked through Jan. I will be having surgery at Ft.Stewart, GA and so looking forward to post healing.

Hi SoldierzWife,
Congratulations!  You're on the path to a better quality of life.  I know just how you're feeling, because four years ago I was looking forward to surgery in February as well.

Be sure to ask any questions that come up.  It's obvious that you've carefully chosen your surgeon, and that's extremely important, as you well know.

Here's a copy of my early recovery journal, in case you haven't run across it.  It may help you get some tips or ideas for your own surgery and recovery.
Again, congratulations and best wishes!
Happy New Year!

Thanx Denise,
I have already checked out your journal and it has helped me tremendously just as this forum. I showered my surgeon with questions this morning & it was a great feeling to have him confirm all of what is discussed here. We even discussed nausea meds post op and he told me that he will take care of that...said his patients are pretty good but a few weeks ago one f his patients ate a bad oyster 6 weeks post op & totally destroyed her wrap; she was a redo. We also talked about using the wrap to jump start weight loss. He really is a great doc.

That's great to hear!  We'll be looking forward to welcoming you to the Wrapped Club after your sugery!  Until then, ask any questions that may come to mind.
Best wishes!
