nexium and healing

can nexium heal your throat caused from acid reflux if taken regularly for a month or more?

Hi Stacey,
Yes..that's why it's such a wonder drug in the eyes of GI docs.  They can look in an esophagus and see lots in inflammation, then put their patient on PPIs and the next time they look all is healed.

k you denise...a ray of hope.:) i hope it helps with my swelling too. I found a place in indianapolis known as CENTA...i wrote them and i think they can help me too.

The treatment of acid induced swelling of the throat  consists of being careful with the intake of 4 of your favorite food groups: caffeine, chocolate, alcohol and mint. In addition, antacid medications are often used as well. So when your doctor is giving you a “stomach” pill for your throat symptoms, remember, the stomach is connected to the throat.
