Good question. I guess it would depend on your doc and your health insurance. Most docs will do tests if it is non-invasive and alleviates their patient's concerns. Some docs are hard-nosed and will not do tests they think are not necessary.
You can take comfort in this, though--with all the health-related lawsuits, doctors tend to overtest, rather than undertest. If your doc refuses those tests, he/she must be extremely confident they're unnecessary.
